El Alcalde asumió el compromiso de triplicar el aporte para la
edición 2008.
Las inscripciones se realizaron en las mismas instalaciones del
Salón “Angostura” en el Hotel “Laja Real” de Ciudad Bolívar, sede de
este prestigioso torneo Venezolano, con un costo de solo Bs: 30.000,oo
por participante.
Sorteado el color inicial de las piezas, le correspondió blancas
en el primer tablero, al GM. Julio Granda del Perú, el rating
Elo, más elevado del evento.
La primera ronda fué pospuesta para las tres de la tarde motivado al
nutrido número de ajedrecistas que se hicieron presentes al momento
de las inscripciones, lo que sobrepasó las expectativas de los
organizadores.
PARTICIPANTES
Responden a la invitación Atletas, Maestros
Nacionales (MN), Maestros F.I.D.E (MF), Maestros Internacionales
(MI) y Grandes Maestros (GM), así Nacionales como Internacionales.
En total se inscribieron ¡ 260 ! Jugadores, provenientes de
los Países: Argentina, Cuba, Perú, Uruguay, y de los Estados
Venezolanos, Aragua, Anzoátegui, Barinas, Bolívar, Carabobo,
Cojedes, Delta Amacuro, Distrito Capital, Mérida, Miranda, Monagas,
Nueva Esparta, Lara, Portuguesa, Sucre, Táchira y Vargas.
CONDICIONES
DE PARTICIPACIÓN
El árbitro principal al inicio de la primera ronda procedió a leer
las condiciones técnicas a los jugadores participantes, además de
informar el horario definitivo de rondas. (Inform 1).
INSCRIPCIONES
Fueron realizadas en el horario de la mañana y las incorporaciones
tardías hasta la segunda ronda. Se realizaron tal y como se había
previsto por el Comité Organizador.
REGLAS Y
SISTEMA DE JUEGO
El torneo, se subordinó al reglamento vigente de la FIDE 2005,
jugándose con un ritmo de 90 MINUTOS más 30 SEGUNDOS de
adición por jugada realizada. Se informó y aplicaron los
artículos 12.2 b, y el 13.4. El torneo es
Individual y se juega a Nueve (09) Rondas.
DESEMPATES
Se utilizarán los siguientes: Buchholz, Buchholz Medio,
SonneborBerger, Progresivo y Número de Victorias. Estos sistemas
de desempate serán sorteados luego de finalizada la última ronda,
como un aporte técnico al “Fair Play” ó “Juego Limpio” en esta clase
de eventos.

INCIDENCIAS GENERALES
1. No se fijaron
límites para acceder a la sala de juego permitiendo un verdadero
intercambio entre todos los participantes.
2. La Coordinación del Torneo está desarrollando un excelente
trabajo organizativo.
3. Gracias al apoyo por parte de la Alcaldía del municipio de Heres,
el evento ha gozado de los recursos necesarios para su realización.
4. Se anunció una nutrida premiación en efectivo
5. Se está divulgando el torneo por Internet a través de las
diferentes páginas Web y/o Emails.
6. Se estableció el método de información diaria a los participantes
y a la prensa.

incidencias negativas, en un perfecto ambiente deportivo y con
